We are excited to announce that Hannah Pannell has been selected for the Summer Transportation Internship Program for Diverse Groups (STIPDG) at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Volpe Center. This summer, Hannah will be involved in research and innovation projects that aim to enhance vehicle safety and visibility to protect vulnerable road users like pedestrians and bicyclists. Her work will focus on advancing virtual reality simulations and other technologies to reduce blind zone risks, supporting crucial developments in vehicle design. Hannah's efforts will contribute to national initiatives striving to decrease the incidents and fatalities of road accidents involving vulnerable populations.
